The first day of spring brought snow to the Metroplex, but now we see signs of spring all around as the trees and flowers are coming to life. Warmer temperatures greet us each day and we see signs of new life in our economy, bringing good news to everyone. We know the recovery will be slow, yet these positive signs give us encouragement in our business and personal lives.
As the Chamber continues to press forward in encouraging economic growth, we are provided with many opportunities to network our businesses to our community. Businesses grow through positive word of mouth. When one customer has a great experience, they then share that experience with their friends. I am frequently asked about referrals for different kinds of businesses and the first place I go is to the online directory of Chamber members.
The impact of shopping and using businesses within our own community can never be emphasized enough. Think of this as investing in ourselves. This will keep the Colleyville area and our Chamber strong.
I want to encourage you to mark your calendars and join us for one of the most enjoyable Chamber events of the year by coming to City Slickers. It will be held at the Grapevine Convention Center on May 16 from 5-9 PM. Sponsoring this event will open new doors and give you the opportunity to market your business. Donating items for our live and silent auctions will make the event a huge success. Get your boots on and join us for City Slickers 2010!
